IFS Partners with Solnet to take IFS Applications 8 to New Zealand

MELBOURNE & AUCKLAND - August 22, 2012 - IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Solnet Solutions, a leading Australasian provider of IT solutions and integration services, to deliver and support the new IFS Applications™ 8 extended ERP suite in New Zealand.

Delivered leveraging Agile development practices, IFS Applications 8 combines the revolutionary IFS Enterprise Explorer user interface with market-leading functionality focused on industries where any of its four core processes - service and asset, projects, manufacturing, and supply chain - are strategic.

IFS made the decision to appoint Solnet as its exclusive reseller and services provider in New Zealand because of its proven and reliable service and support capability, technical credentials and demonstrated success delivering ERP solutions.

We were looking for a services partner with the skills to implement and support the new IFS Applications 8 extended ERP suite,” said Rob Stummer, Managing Director at IFS Australia and New Zealand. “We also wanted a partner with a strong solutions capability to take IFS into industries in New Zealand where our four core processes resonate. Solnet ticked all the boxes.”

In offering comprehensive and market-leading ERP functionality on a modern, open technology platform, IFS Applications 8 gives organisations within targeted industries a compelling choice, offering better value than competing suites.

IFS offers a highly rated ERP solution with a number of compelling advantages,” said Mark Botherway, Managing Director for Solnet Solutions. “The solution delivers clear benefits in a range of sectors, with integrated project support and world-leading Enterprise Asset Management capabilities. It is a modular solution, based on open standards, that is designed to be integrated with legacy systems. This adds up to an ERP solution with a significantly lower cost of ownership compared with other offerings in the market.”

Solnet has already established itself as a supplier of innovative ERP solutions based on open source technology to small to medium-sized enterprises. IFS saw the potential for Solnet to grow its ERP practice among larger enterprise organisations which represent the majority of its business.

IFS Applications complements Solnet’s existing skill-base in Java development, systems integration, mobility enablement and project management. Solnet also has extended capabilities in areas such as online communications, information management and business process integration.

Solnet, with over 120 employees and offices in Auckland and Wellington, believes IFS represents a particularly compelling option for medium to large enterprises engaged in service and asset intensive and project driven industries, including engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) firms, and supply chain organisations.

IFS’s focus on service and asset, projects, and supply chain is a good fit for many New Zealand enterprises and we have already identified considerable interest among organisations with large workforces and with asset investments centred around construction and public infrastructure maintenance,” said Botherway.
